Michal Ettinger
Director of Children's Division, JDC-Ashalim

For the past 15 years, Michal has worked in JDC-Israel, first as a program director and now as head of the Children's Division in JDC-Ashalim. In this capacity, she manages and leads a staff of program directors responsible for developing and implementing services for children at risk and their families, in collaboration with the various government ministries and third sector organizations.
She has a Bachelor's degree in Education, a general Bachelor's Degree in Musicology and Art, a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and a Master's Degree in Social Work – all from the Hebrew University. She also a graduate of the Hebrew University School of Social Work course for student supervisors.
Before coming to work in JDC-Israel, Michal headed the "Yad Rachel" Learning Center, worked as a family social worker in the Welfare Department, and served as a social worker-therapist and volunteer coordinator in the WIZO Center for Prevention of Family Violence.
Her digital vision is to promote digital literacy among children living in Israel's geographic and social peripheries, enhancing opportunities for their optimal integration into society. This includes making knowledge and skills accessible, while providing training for parents, teachers and counselors and building a supportive and sustainable municipal infrastructure committed to outcomes. She has recently established an inter-ministerial and inter-sectorial forum to promote this issue.
ראש תחום ילדים בג'וינט- אשלים. בתפקיד זה מובילה מיכל צוות של מנהלי תכניות האחראים לפיתוח ויישום של שירותים לילדים במצבי סיכון ומשפחותיהם, בשית וף משרדי הממשלה השונים וגופי מגזר שלישי.
עבדה כעשר שנים במרכז הלמידה "יד רחל" בשכונת הקטמונים בירושלים, מתוכן 5 שנים בניהול המרכז. שימשה כעו"ס במחלקת הרווחה בעיריית ירושלים, וכעובדת סוציאלית-מטפלת במרכז למניעת אלימות במשפחה ב"ויצו". ב-15 השנים האחרונות עובדת בג'וינט ישראל, תחילה כמנהלת תוכניות וכעת כראש תחום ילדים בסיכון. בעלת תואר ראשון בחינוך ובב"א כללי (מוסיקולוגיה ואומנות), ותואר ראשון ושני בעבודה סוציאלית, כולם מהאוניברסיטה העברית. כמו כן בוגרת קורס מדריכי סטודנטים של בית הספר לעבודה סוציאלית באוניברסיטה העברית.
חזון דיגיטאלי- קידום אוריינות דיגיטאלית בקרב ילדים החיים בפריפריה הגיאו- חברתית של מדינת ישראל על מנת לשפר את ההזדמנויות והאפשרויות העומדות בפניהם להשתלבות חברתית מיטבית. כל זאת תוך הנגשת ידע, מיומנויות, גישה ואמצעים טובים יותר, תוך מתן הכשרות להורים, מורים ומדריכים, תוך בניית מערך רשותי תומך ובר קיימא מחויב לתוצאות . לצורך כך הקימה פורום בין משרדי ובין מגזרי המקדם בימים אלו את הנושא .
אני נשואה, ואם ל- 3 ילדים (בגילאי 24 , 19, 9 ). מתגוררת בירושלים.
