Amit Reingold
Director of the Administration, Logistics and Emergency Division of the Be’er Sheva Municipality

In his position, Amit is responsible for 200 employees in a long list of municipal departments such as: Events and Ceremonies, the Municipal Center, the Municipality Administration, Sustainability, the 360 Program for Children and Youth at Risk, City without Violence program, the Public Inquiries Unit and more. Amit promotes cross-organizational processes: the development of operational and logistical processes and interfaces, while improving the internal and external service system.
Among his duties in the last 15 years - the Urban Emergency Commander, the management of the municipal emergency headquarters in Operation Cast Lead (2008), "Pillar of Defence" (2012) and "Tzuk Eitan" (2014). Includes collaboration with the army, the police and emergency forces.
In light of his vast experience as a senior employee in the municipality for the last 30 years, he also serves in other positions as Chairman of the Procurement and Depreciation Committee, Chairman of the Safety Parity Committee, Chairman of the Committee of Procedures, Senior Municipal Representative of the Beer Sheva-Montreal Partnership.
Amit has also serves as the head of the local elections organization since 1993.
In 2017 he headed the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Beer Sheva, with the participation of prime ministers from the world, while reconstructing the last cavalry battle in history. Amit recently led the division that became a pioneer among local authorities in Israel to receive the ISO 14001 certification for sustainable environmental and managerial conduct.
Amit holds a MA in Public Administration and Policy from Sapir Academic College. His thesis researched the integration and advancement of academic education in the Bedouin sector in Israel.
במסגרת תפקידו אחראי עמית על כ-200 עובדים במחלקות הבטיחות, האירועים והטקסים, המוקד העירוני, הרכב, מינהל בתי העירייה, קיימות , תכנית 360 לילדים ונוער בסיכון, עיר ללא אלימות, היח' לפניות הציבור, ביהמ"ש לעניינים מקומיים, גנזך עירוני. במסגרת זו, מקדם תהליכים חוצי - ארגון: פיתוח תהליכים וממשקים אופרטיביים ולוגיסטיים תוך שיפור מערך השירות הפנימי והחיצוני.
בין תפקידיו ב 15 השנים האחרונות- רמ"ט חירום עירוני; ניהול מטה החירום העירוני במבצעי "עופרת יצוקה" (2008) , "עמוד ענן"(2012), ו"צוק איתן" (2014.), כולל שת"פ מול גורמי הצבא, המשטרה וזרועות החירום.
לאור ניסיונו הרב כעובד בכיר בעירייה מזה כ 30 שנה, מכהן גם בתפקידים נוספים כיו"ר וועדת רכש ובלאי, יו"ר וועדה פריטטית לבטיחות, יו"ר וועדת נהלים, נציג העירייה הבכיר בשותפות באר שבע – מונטריאול .
החל משנת 1993 משמש גם כראש מטה ארגון הבחירות לרשויות המקומיות
בשנת 2017 עמד בראש ארגון חגיגות 100 שנים לציון הקרב על באר שבע, בהשתתפות ראשי ממשלות תוך שחזור קרב הפרשים האחרון בהסטוריה.
לאחרונה זכה עמית להוביל את האגף להיות חלוץ בין הרשויות המקומיות בישראל בקבלת תו תקן ISO 14001 להתנהלות סביבתית ומנהלית מקיימת.
לעמית תואר שני במינהל ומדיניות ציבורית מהמכללה האקדמית ספיר. עבודת הגמר שלו עסקה בשילוב ובקידום ההשכלה האקדמית במגזר הבדואי בישראל.
