Rekefet is Deputy Director of the Department of Social and Individual Services, in the Ministry of Social Affairs and Social Services. She has filled several staff positions in the Ministry, including National Supervisor in the Service for Treatment of Addictions, and Deputy Director and Director of the Service for Treatment of Addictions.
She has a Bachelor's Degree in Youth Development and Informal Education, and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Ohio State University, Colombus.
As a social worker Rakefet worked in a wide variety of positions, beginning as a social worker in a locked unit for teen girls (Ma'on Tsofiya), youth social worker in the Lod and Rosh Ha'ayin Welfare Departments, and director of an addictions unit and day center in the Or Yehuda Municipality.
Rakefet sees digitation as a powerful and highly important means for narrowing social gaps, making knowledge accessible, enhancing utilization of rights, and improving governance. Her digital vision is that government ministries, and particularly the Welfare Ministry, will succeed in upgrading its use of digital media for the benefit of disadvantaged populations.

כעובדת סוציאלית עסקה במגוון רחב של תפקידים החל מעו"ס במסגרת נעולה לנערות – (מעון צופיה), עו"ס לנוער במחלקות רווחה בלוד וראש העין, ומנהלת היחידה ומרכז היום למכורים בעיריית אור יהודה.
בוגרת M.S.W אוניברסיטת COLOMBUS , OHIO STAT. ותואר ראשון בקידום נוער וחינוך בלתי פורמלי.
מומחית בתחום תקון- התמכרויות. נשואה ואם ל 1.
