Shlomit has worked for 26 years in the Ministry of Welfare in the Information Systems Division. Over the years, she advanced from being a program developer to managerial positions. Since 2007, Shlomit serves as director of the area of payment systems, and as of 2012 she is a senior area manager in the Welfare Ministry. In her position, Shlomit is responsible for overall management of the Welfare Ministry's payments systems and statistical systems, alongside management of infrastructure projects such as the Shachar and Merkava Projects. Shlomit is also a member of many committees, including the Computerization Steering Committee, the Committee for Information Transfer, and a Joint Committee for the Computerization of the Local Authorities.
Shlomit has an MA from Bar Ilan University in Political Science in the Governance and Public Policy track, and a BA in Bible, Computers and Computer Engineering from the Bayit Vegan College. She is a graduate of a John Bryce course in of Information Technologies Management in Organizations, and a training course for management reserves and courses in Systems Analysis at the Sela and Sivan Colleges.
שולמית עובדת במשרד הרווחה כ- 26 שנים באגף מערכות מידע. במשך השנים התקדמה מתפקיד של מפתחת לתפקידי ניהול. למן שנת 2007 משמשת שולמית מנהלת תחום מערכות תשלומים, בנוסף החל משנת 2012 מנהלת תחום בכיר במשרד הרווחה. במסגרת תפקידה עוסקת שולמית בניהול כולל של מערכות התשלומים והמערכות הסטטיסטיות של משרד הרווחה לצד ניהול פרויקטי תשתית כדוגמת פרויקט שח"ר ופרויקט המרכבה. כמו כן חברה שולמית בוועדות רבות, בין השאר, חברה בוועדת היגוי למחשוב, וועדה להעברת מידע, וועדה משותפת למחשוב הרשויות המקומיות.
שולמית בעלת תואר שני במדעי המדינה במגמה לממשל ומדיניות ציבורית מאוניברסיטת בר-אילן ותואר ראשון בתנ"ך, מחשבים והנדסת מחשבים מטעם מכללת בית וגן.
שולמית בוגרת קורס ניהול טכנולוגיות המידע בארגון מטעם מכון ג'ון ברייס, קורס הכשרה לעתודה ניהולית וקורסי ניתוח מערכות מטעם מכללות סלע וסיון.
