She previously worked as a legal advisor in the Council and currently, in addition to her above role, continues to provide legal advice to the Council and other entities. Earlier, she served in the Israel Police as an investigator of sex crimes and domestic violence for 7 years.
Shorooq obtained an LLB degree from the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya and a master's degree in public policy specializing in local government from the University of Haifa. Shorooq is a graduate of the Mandel Program for Educational and Social Leadership, as well as the Oranim College of Education program in regimes and politics. She is married and the mother of Adam and Camille, and lives in Kafr Qara.
שורוק מנהלת המחלקה למניעת אלימות סמים ואלכוהול ברשות המקומית כפר קרע. בעבר עבדה כיועצת משפטית ברשות וכיום בנוסף לתפקידה לעיל עדיין נותנת שירותי ייעוץ משפטי לרשות ולגופים נוספים. שירתה בעבר במשטרת ישראל כחוקרת עבירות מין ואלימות במשפחה למשך 7 שנים.
בוגרת תואר ראשון במשפטים מהמרכז הבינתחומי הרצליה ותואר שני מדיניות ציבורית התמחות שלטון מקומי מאוניברסיטת חיפה. שורוק בוגרת תכנית מנדל למנהיגות חינוכית וחברתית וכן בוגרת מכללת אורנים לחינוך בנושא משטרים ופוליטיקה.
נשואה ואימא לאדם וכמיל, מתגוררים בכפר קרע.
