Shani is Senior Department Director for Policy and Organization in the National Cyber Bureau. Her responsibilities include, alongside responsibility for various administrative areas, promoting policy processes such as government decisions and legislation, establishing governmental tools, and creating collaborations and arrangements with other bodies.
She has a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science, and a Master's Degree with a thesis in Public Policy in the Honors Program at the Hebrew University School of Public Policy.
Prior to her current position, Shani served in numerous positions in the civil service: Director of the Administration for Establishing the National Cyber Bureau; assistant to the Executive Director of the Prime Minister's Office; assistant to the Chair of the Knesset Committee; Head of Training Unit in the Security Department in the Prime Minister's Office.
Her digital vision is of digital services to citizens that maximize the Israel government's level of service, and around which an innovative industry develops. These services will preserve every citizen's ability to really make choices about use of digital services, and provide tools to those interested in using them – all the while preserving a protected, safe, and enabling digital space.
תפקידה כולל קידום תהליכי קידום מדיניות, כגון קידום החלטות ממשלה וחקיקה, הקמת כלים ממשלתיים, ויצירת שיתופי פעולה והסדרות עם גופים אחרים, ולצד זאת, אחריות על תחומי המנהל השונים.
בעבר שימשה במגוון תפקידים במגזר הציבורי: ר' מנהלת הקמה של מטה הסייבר הלאומי; עוזרת מנכ"ל משרד ראש הממשלה; עוזרת יו"ר ועדת הכנסת; ור' מדור הדרכה באגף הביטחון במשרד ראש הממשלה.
בעלת תואר ראשון במזרח תיכון ומדע המדינה, ותואר שני ועבודת תזה במדיניות ציבורית בתכנית למצטיינים בביה"ס למדיניות ציבורית באוניברסיטה העברית.
בשירותה הצבאי שימשה שני בתפקידי פיקוד והדרכה, בניהם מ"פ טירוניות, מ"פ קורס מ"כיות, ומפקדת מחלקה בקורס קצינות.
פעילות חברתית: לשעבר מתנדבת במרכז הסיוע לנפגעות תקיפה מינית ואונס, במד"א ובמשמר האזרחי.
חזון דיגיטאלי: שירותים דיגיטאליים לאזרח, המביאים למקסימום את רמת השירות בממשל הישראלי ומפתחים תעשייה חדשנית סביבם, תוך שמירת יכולת בחירה של ממש לכל אזרח לגבי עצם השימוש בשירותים הדיגיטאליים, ומעניקים כלים למעוניינים להשתמש בהם. כל זאת, תוך שמירת מרחב דיגיטאלי שמור, בטוח ומאפשר.
