Previously, he worked in military law and managed a nonprofit organization, which included defense attorneys, volunteers and interns, for more than 7 years. In 2007 he began working for the security division of the Israel Airports Authority at Ben-Gurion Airport, supervising minorities relations. Then he worked as a legal consultant for the Reine Local Council. In 2010 he was elected Secretary General of the Local Council.
Taufiq earned a LLB degree from the University of Warwick, England, as well as certification in public organization board member training, and director general training by the Ministry of the Interior.
תאופיק מזכיר המועצה (מנכ"ל) המקומית ריינה. בעברו עסק במשפט צבאי וניהול עמותה אשר מנתה סנגורים, מתנדבים ומתמחים למעלה מ- 7 שנים. בשנת 2007 עבד בחטיבת בטחון של רשות שדות התעופה בנתב״ג כאחראי קשר לאוכלוסייית בני מיעוטים. לאחר מכן עבד כיועץ משפטי במועצה המקומית ריינה. בסוף שנת 2010 נבחר לתפקיד מזכיר המועצה המקומית ריינה. בוגר תואר ראשון במשפטים מאוניברסיטת Warwick באנגליה. מוסמך השתלמויות דירקטורים בגופים ציבוריים והכשרת מנכ״לים מטעם משרד הפנים.
